Post workout snacks are just as important as the workout itself. In particular, high protein snacks are great for muscle recovery after a strenuous workout. Here are a few of my favorite high protein post workout snacks.

  • Trail mix: Easy for when you’re on the go or traveling and need a quick snack that’s packed with nuts, dried fruit and a little bit of sweet.


  • Greek yogurt with mixed berries: Greek yogurt is packed with protein. Add some fresh(or frozen) berries for some natural sugar.


  • Turkey and cheese roll ups with apple slices: A more filling snack to refuel you post workout. A sandwich substitute without the bread carbs, with a couple apple slices for a boost of energy.


  • Peanut butter and banana on rice cake: Super satisfying snack that’s low calorie, and packed with fiber and protein.
